Bhumika Chawla’s production venture Thakita Thakita will be releasing in the month of July. Srihari Nanu (Satyabhama fame) directs this movie with new faces. Bhumika plays special role along with Anushka and Nagarjuna. The logo of this movie will be launched on 9 June. Music will be launched on 18 June and the film will be released in the month of July.

Lawrence to direct Prabhas

Prabhas is going to do a film in the direction of Lawrence soon. This film will go to floors in the month of September. Prabhas is currently doing a film Dasarath’s direction. This movie will start after the completion of Dasarath’s movie.

Tapsee paired up with Prabhas

Tapsee who made her debut with Manoj’s latest movie Jhummandi Naadam in the direction of K Raghavendra Rao is signed up for Dil Raju’s latest movie with Prabhas as hero. Dasarath directs this movie.

EVV to direct Allari Naresh

Big B Productions that made debut with EVV’s last release Buridi is going to produce another movie in the direction of EVV Satyanarayana again. This film will star Allari Naresh in the main lead. This movie will go to floors on 1st July.

Anushka’s different variations

Anushka has done the role of a prostitute called Amalapuram Saroja in Vedam movie which is due for the release on 4 June. She has done the role of goddess in Panchakshari which is going to release in the next week (probably on 11 June). Probably Anushka is the only actress in recent times to do two films of such vastly different characters.

Pathala Bhairavi remake in 3D

A big producer of Telugu cinema is planning to remake the yesteryear’s classic Pathala Bhairavi in 3D with one of the biggest youth mass heroes. A director who is known for big budget extravaganzas is going to direct this huge budgeted movie. This film will be made with latest technology and probably it will be the most expensive movie ever made in Telugu.

Allari Naresh’s new film from 16 July

Allari Naresh is going to act in the direction of debutant director Veerabhadram Chowdary. This film will be produced by Anil Sunkara (Bindaas fame) on AK Entertainments banner. This film also features Srihari in a vital role. Raghu Kunche who shot to fame with Ravanamma song is going to compose music. Loki handles camera. Regular shooting of this film starts on 16 July.

Naga Chaitanya’s film in Bangkok backdrop

Naga Chaitanya’s 4th film in the direction of Ajay Bhuyan is going to start on 21 June in Bangkok. Kajal Agarwal is going to play female lead. Earlier this film was planned to shoot in USA, but the backdrop is changed to Bangkok recently. Devi Sri Prasad composes music. Gnana Sekhar (Vedam fame) is the cinematographer. Abburi Ravi pens dialogues.

Allu Arjun in Vietnam

Allu Arjun has gone to Vietnam on the release day of his latest movie Vedam. He is there along with the action choreographer Peter Heins to get trained in vigorous martial arts for his latest film Badrinath. Badrinath is being produced by Allu Arvind on Geeta Arts and directed by VV Vinayak. This film is being made on extravagant budget. It sports huge backdrop that requires graphics and action sequences.

Kajal sister with Varun Sandesh

Nisha Agarwal (sister of Kajal Agarwal) is going to be paired with Varun Sandesh. Sampath Nandi who directed Kannada films is going to direct this movie. KK Radha Mohan who produced Adineta with Jagapati Babu in the past is going produce this movie on Sri Satya Sai Arts banner. Chakri will compose music. The first schedule will take place from 21 June.

Kushigaa is the title under consideration for Pawan Kalyan’s movie in the direction of Jayant C Paranji. This film is the remake of Imtiaz Ali’s Bollywood blockbuster ‘Love Aaj Kal’. Mahesh Babu Movie songs in Mumbai

Shooting of Mahesh Babu’s latest movie in the direction of Trivikram is completed but for a couple of songs. These two songs will be shot in Mumbai from 1 July. Mahesh Babu had a hectic one month shoot in a village near Pune recently. Anushka plays female lead. This film is going to release in the month of August.

The producer of the movie said that the audio of the movie will be released in the first week of july.Kanakaratna Movies banner is making the film and is produced by Singanamala Ramesh and directed by SJ Surya. Music is by AR Rehman. Shriya is doing an item number in the film.

Vivek Oberoi, who plays Paritala Ravi in Rakta Charitra was recently seen at a party hitting on Shazahn, who plays opposite Rama Charan in Orange. An eyewitness, who also overheard a conversation between Vivek and Shazahn reveals, “Shazahn came to the party with her mom Sharon.

When Vivek saw Shazahn standing alone in a corner he started asking her where she was going later and with whom. He was at his flirtatious best, when Shazahn’s mom Sharon, who was scandalised to see Vivek standing so close, pulled her daughter away and left.” When contacted, Shazahn Padamsee said, “I don’t wish to comment.” Vivek Oberoi, in turn, also declined to comment.

Dhanush is father again

Dhanush is on cloud nine. He has become a father again as his wife Aishwarya gave birth to a baby boy in Chennai this morning.

"Aishwarya gave birth to a baby boy today morning at 6:21 am !! I'm a father of 2 boys ! Happy morning ! God bless !!", the actor said in his Twitter account, taking pride in declaring his fatherhood for the second time!

It is learnt that the mother and child are hale and healthy. Known to all, Dhanush and Aishwarya have a boy child named Yatra, who is three years now. We at IndiaGlitz wish the actor, his wife, little Yatra and the new born all the best.

Kota Srinivasa Rao's son Prasad dies in road accident

Veteran Telugu film actor Kota Srinivas Rao’s son Kota Prasad died in a road accident here Sunday. He was 39.

Kota Prasad is survived by wife and two children. He also acted in one Telugu film “Siddham” released last year and had signed a couple of other films.

Police said Prasad met with the accident at Narsangi near Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University while he was on his way to the airport.

His two-wheeler was hit by a truck. He was rushed to a private hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The body was shifted to Osmania Hospital, where an autopsy was performed. The body was later brought to his house, where eminent film personalities and politicians paid their last respects.

Srinivas Rao, a former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator, was inconsolable.

Actor-politician Chiranjeevi and Brahmanandam were among film personalities who consoled him.

BJP leaders also visited Srinivas Rao’s home. Chief Minister K. Rosaiah also expressed his shock over the death of Kota Prasad.

This is the second time a leading Telugu actor has lost his son in a road accident in Hyderabad.

In 2003, Pavan Kumar, son of actor and then state labour minister Babu Mohan had died when his two-wheeler hit a road divider in the Jubliee Hills area.

'Vedam' grosses Rs 10.5 Crs

Arka Mediaworks’ first venture and Krish Jagarlamudi’s VEDAM starring Allu Arjun, Manchu Manoj and Anushka opened to a smashing first week collection of Rs 10.5 crores in India alone. With gross of $200,000 in the US within the first five days itself, it has become highest grosser Telugu film in the US in 2010.

The movie released on the 4th June and recieved positive talk. It is both a critical commercial success. Trade pundits expected the movie would only work in the urban areas, but the movie surprised them by doing exceeding well in the rural areas too. The music scored by M.M Keeravani is one of the highlights of the film. So is Gnanashekar’s cinematography.
